About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Glendale, Queens, Pizza Classica is an authentic Italian restaurant and pizzeria that delivers both classic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. This charming spot, located at 89-89 Union Tpke, captures the essence of traditional Italian cooking with a menu that impresses at every bite.

Whether you're craving a perfectly baked pie or a hearty plate of pasta, Pizza Classica's offerings are a celebration of Italian culinary craftsmanship. Their Margherita Pizza boasts a crispy crust crowned with bright tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella that melts in your mouth, a true testament to the simplicity and brilliance of Italian pizza. For those who love seafood, dishes like Shrimp Rockefeller and the indulgently savory Fried Calamari transport you straight to the Mediterranean coast, while the Baked Clams Oreganata—crisped with breadcrumbs, butter, wine, and garlic—invite you to savor every luscious bite. One customer, Arlene Patel, raved, "I could have eaten 3 to 4 plates of the baked clams. Don’t let them take the plate! Dip your fresh crusty table bread in it, you can thank me later."

For pasta lovers, the menu's baked favorites such as Baked Lasagna and Cheese Ravioli offer layers of rich, melted cheese and perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, creating a comforting, soul-warming meal. The Penne Alla Vodka with Grilled Chicken is another standout, combining a creamy tomato vodka sauce with succulent grilled chicken, delivering bold flavors with every forkful.

Alongside robust main dishes, Pizza Classica provides an array of fresh, vibrant salads. The Classica Salad is a delightful mix of greens, roasted peppers, olives, and shaved Romano cheese, while the Caesar and Baby Spinach Salads bring complementary notes of crispness and earthiness that balance indulgent entrees. And don’t miss their Cannolis or Tiramisu if you’re craving something sweet to round out your meal; these traditional Italian desserts are made with care, ending your dining experience on a perfectly sweet note.

The dining atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance between casual comfort and a touch of upscale elegance. Jaime describes the vibe as “a little upscale but yet you can dress casually with no problem,” making it an ideal destination for everything from a relaxed weeknight dinner to special group gatherings. Friendly and attentive service heightens the experience, ensuring every visit feels personalized and welcoming.

Pizza Classica shines not only in food but also in genuine hospitality. Whether you’re joining for a cozy dinner or ordering delivery to enjoy in your own space, the team’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident. Frequent visitors like Tony Russo appreciate the consistently amazing food and laid-back service, highlighting that “good food can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.” Couple that with a cold Peroni or a refreshing house-made sangria—as Sapna Rajpoot perfectly puts it, “Paired it with a refreshing sangria — perfection!”—and you have the makings of a memorable dining experience.

In essence, Pizza Classica is a hidden gem in Queens that invites you to indulge in Italian classics made with passion and authenticity. Whether you're biting into a slice of their iconic pizza, savoring seafood baked to perfection, or enjoying an evening with friends surrounded by warm hospitality, this restaurant truly feels like an Italian oasis off the beaten path.

This is a Queens, New York hidden gem! Literally hidden in a shopping plaza is this oasis of Italian food. I could have eaten 3 to 4 plates of the baked clams. Don't let them take the plate! Dip your fresh crusty table bread in it, you can thank me later. From the fried calamari to shrimp Rockefeller you will not be disappointed. Service was impeccable. The staff was friendly. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area.

Returned for a large group gathering again (our 3rd here so far). This time we were seated indoors. Complimentary bread and butter to start. Calamari was good. Stuffed mushrooms were on the salty side. Had the Pasta Pescatore - seafood in a spicy marinara sauce. Liked the seafood but the linguini was not al dente anymore. I much preferred the side of capellini with strong garlicky-flavored oil, which went well with the Chicken Sorrentino (with eggplant, prosciutto and brown sauce). Delicious. We no longer saw the sandwich options on the menu. Service was great. Restrooms available. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of parking.

I liked the atmosphere at this restaurant. It is a little upscale but yet you can dress casually with no problem. I ordered the pizza and thought it was good. I didn't have a hard time finding parking. The waiters were friendly and attentive.

Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly baked! The crispy crust, juicy toppings, and bright tomato bites made this pizza an instant favorite. Paired it with a refreshing sangria — perfection!

I love eating here. My favorite is their balsamic chicken! It is so flavorful. I’ve never had chicken from anywhere else with that taste. They also have great pasta dishes.

I almost passed this place. Not their fault that there is construction all around the area. Hard to find parking, even though there’s a lot. The restaurant is in a strip plaza. The burger was cooked to my specifications. The cannolo was filled with fresh ricotta and my party enjoyed their cappuccinos. Our waitstaff was attentive and on point. Before revisiting I will check to see if construction is complete.
